

Timothy S. Helton DMD
Family, Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Timothy Helton is a world class Dentist with 22 years of experience. Dr. Helton is highly skilled in all facets of General, Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Helton's goal is to understand every patient's needs and work with each patient to give them a pleasant dental experience that meets or exceeds their expectations. His ultimate desire is to create perfect smiles and to do it in an environment that is friendly, efficient and focused on customer satisfaction.
Dr. Helton grew up in the Stone Mountain / Tucker area of Georgia. He completed his undergraduate studies at Erskine College in South Carolina, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in American History. While at Erskine Dr. Helton was President of the Chi Lambda Sigma Literary Society, a member of the Tri Beta Biological Honor Society and a four year letterman on the baseball team. He was voted to the NAIA All-Academic team his senior year.
Dr. Helton received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. While at MCG, he led the campus ministry group and played numerous intramural sports. After completing his DMD, Dr. Helton went to work for Nanston Dental Group. He later became Dental Director of Nanston's Snellville group. Dr. Helton also gained international experience in the 1990's that was both invaluable and very rewarding. He took several mission trips to Jamaica where he helped many people and re-enforced just how important Dental Health is to the overall health of all human beings.
Dr. Helton believes in staying on the cutting edge on all facets of Dentistry. Since finishing college he has completed over 1,000 hours of continuous education. If there is new technology or new technique that will result in a more pleasant patient experience or higher quality results, Dr. Helton will know about it.
Dr. Helton and his wife Lilia have two daughters, Emily and Natalie. They live in our local community and are very active in community and church activities. Dr. Helton enjoys coaching fast pitch softball and playing men's softball. His passions outside of Dentistry are his family, his church, Braves baseball, college basketball, college football and fastpitch softball.

Terry Holder DMD
Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Holder was born and raised just 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh PA. with a family of Steel Workers and Coal Miners. Dr. Holder knows about hard work and team work, he was a member of a state champion high school basketball team and received a college scholarship to play basketball.
He received his B. A. degree from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington D.C. and then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
After serving two years with the U.S. Army stationed at Columbus Georgia he completed his two year post graduate residency training in Pediatric Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University and the Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland Ohio.
Dr. Holder earned the status of Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 1988 and was awarded Fellowship status shortly there after.
Dr. Holder and his wife Mickie live in East Cobb county and are the proud parents of two daughters; Katie and Terri Lynn. Both are married, no grand children yet. Katie is a nurse and works for an Obstetric Group and Terry Lynn is a Business Banker with Chase Bank.
In addition to being a “Hard Core” Steelers and Penguin Hockey fan most of Dr. Holder’s past time is spend in the out doors, exploring the wilderness of the U.S. Canada and Africa.

John E. Trapp DMD
Periodontics
Dr. Trapp, a native of New Hampshire, has practiced periodontics in the Atlanta area since 1984.
After graduating from Lehigh University in 1967, Dr. Trapp joined the Marines. He fought in Viet Nam, as a Forward Observer, Company Executive Officer and Artillery Battery Executive Officer with D 1/9 and D 2/12. Upon his return to the United States, Dr. Trapp graduated with honors from the Naval Justice School in Newport, RI, and served as the Regimental Legal Officer for the 12th Marines at Camp LeJeune. The Navy granted Dr. Trapp a full, active duty scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine, where he was the first with a small group to complete the four-year program in three years and graduated at the top of his class. Upon graduation, Dr. Trapp was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU-the national dental honor society), and elected into the prestigious Matthew H. Cryer honor society. Also upon graduation, he was awarded the Kristeller Prize for Radiology, the Columbia Crown and Bridge Award, and the Philadelphia Dental Society's Award for clinical and academic achievement. Dr. Trapp served the next 10 years in the Navy in Hawaii, Bethesda and Parris Island, during which time he completed his residency in Periodontics and became Board Certified in Oral Medicine.
After leaving the Navy in 1983, Dr. Trapp served as the Headmaster of the young Hilton Head Christian Academy for a year and a half. His first acts were to double the teacher's pay to get parity with the public sector, and to obtain scholarships from the community for every student who wanted to attend. The Academy thrives today.
In 1984, Dr. Trapp joined Nanston, a newly formed dental group in Atlanta. He started the group's Periodontal and Oral Medicine Departments and served as Chairman of both for about 25 years. Nanston thrived and became one of the premier dental groups in the United States. The group was purchased by a nationwide provider of dental services in 2010.
Dr. Trapp has now joined Princeton Dental Group, returning to his entrepreneurial roots with a desire to serve his patients in a small, personal environment. He will use his experience, knowledge and expertise to help see that Princeton is the best option for dental patients, employees and professionals in the Atlanta area.
Dr. Trapp has also been actively involved as a Board Member of Presence, an International, faith-based organization headquartered in Colorado which is committed to seeking world peace and reconciliation. In addition, he takes time each day to post his technical analysis of the stock market for subscribers at a highly regarded stock trading website. With Maryanne, his wife of 42 years, his two grown daughters, his grandson Thomas, and Mortie and Wally, two spoiled Morkies, he spends the rest of his time working around the house and yard completing his honey-do lists.

Shannon, Dental Hygienist
Shannon graduated from the Georgia Perimeter College with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Shannon loves dentistry and helping her patients learn about good oral health through education and the occasional laugh. She is the mother of two wonderful children her loving husband is a Dekalb Firefighter. During football season Shannon enjoys coaching her daughter’s cheerleading squad and she is actively involved in her children's PTA.

Tonya, Dental Hygienist
Tonya is a diverse Dental Hygienist with 27 years of experience. She has taught painless non-surgical periodontal therapy and cosmetics at LVI (Extreme Makeover Teaching Institute). She was also featured on television discussing cosmetic options and treatment of patients with periodontal disease. Her goal is to provide a family atmosphere for her patients while enhancing their smile and dental health.
Tonya received her Dental Hygiene degree from Illinois Central College, where she was Valedictorian, on the Dean's list, and received the nationally recognized Golden Scaler Award. During college she was elected Class President and was Component President of the Illinois Dental Hygiene Association following graduation. She also served on the Advisory Panel with the Minnesota Dental Board. In 2011 she was inducted into the prestigious Cambridge Register of Who's Who among Executives and Professionals.
Music, dance and education are her interests outside of dentistry. She was the youngest member of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra at the age of 13. During college she took ballet and modern dance and was a paid performer on American Bandstand. Promoting education has always been her dearest love. She has tutored educationally-challenged children most of her life and has been on the School Board Advisory Committee interviewing and selecting potential candidates for the positions of principal and superintendent.
Tonya and her husband, John, have two daughters and a granddaughter. They are active in the local church community and are volunteer advocates of the local humane society.

Prissy, Dental Assistant
Prissy has over twelve years assisting in the dental field. She prides herself in providing quality dental care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and attending her children's sporting activities. She is married and active in her church. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Mallory, Dental Assistant
Mallory graduated from Providence Christian Academy in 2005. She later graduated from Gwinnett Dental Career Academy in May 2010. Her interest in dentistry began in high school and since becoming a dental assistant it has become her passion. She attends Kennesaw State University and is working on her B.S. in biology. She later plans to attend dental school. Mallory enjoys spending time with friends, family, likes to paint draw, sew and graphic design.
